Human and Environmental Health Planning and Design Lab

Our mission is to promote healthy and sustainable environments, using landscape architecture as a medium. We strive to decipher the dynamic interactions between humans and built (or preserved) environments in their varying spatiotemporal contexts. Our work scope embraces assessing impacts of environmental interventions on human society as well as on the grander ecosystem, and extends to providing policy implications for better planning and design strategies. For this aim, we employ various types of quantitative methodologies. Please join us if you are excited about what we do. We welcome students with research interests on environmental (landscape architecture, architecture and urban) planning and design, public health, economics and many other fields relevant to our aim.
